I LOVE NY!!!!

Wow, what a vacation we had! No, I didn't get to a yarn shop, but I did go to a needlepoint store and bought a great little canvas which is a montage of NY. I'll post a picture soon. What a great city! So much to see and do and......EAT. I must say, they know how to cook in Manhattan, including the best pizza I've ever tasted. This photo is from the "The Top of the Rock" (Rockefeller Building) and provided beautiful 360 degree views of Manhattan. I was amazed that they were able to keep Central Park intact in the middle of this hustling bustling city. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved New York. I thought, it would be "just another city" but I was definitely wrong. The cultural diversity, the architecture, the food, the people, and the friendliness! Yes, the friendliness! I was prepared for rude people, but we found the New Yorkers friendly, helpful and willing to offer help without us even asking. It became a game to listen when we were on a street corner for a light change. We always heard someone speaking a foreign language and they weren't tourists. I loved it! I'll post a few more pictures in the coming days.

I loved NY also when I visited in April. I agree, the people on the streets and even the subway were very nice. The cab drivers were the best, very helpful.
